Saint Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco)

One of the two columns near St. Mark's basilica. This one shows the winged lion. For many years, criminals were executed between these two columns, and it's said that superstitious people won't walk between them. Of course Miles kept trying to steer me between them, and he finally succeed. I'm sure that the hair on my neck and arms only stood up when I walked between them because of a breeze. Right?

More pigeon chasing.

A better view of the basilica.

I decided scaffolding is the business to be in in Europe.

The bell tower outside the basilica.

Jackie feeding the pigeons.

I read somewhere that the Venice puts bird birth control in the pigeon feed to keep the plaza from being overrun by the birds.
